CHILD HEIGHT RELATIVE TO HEIGHT MARKERS HEIGHT MARKERS The Infant Carrier is not suitable for your child when their shoulders are above the shoulder height marker. If the babies neck muscles are unable to support their head then the child should remain rear facing, choose a child restraint that will take larger babies in rear facing.
NEXT STAGE OF RESTRAINT TO BE USED When your child has outgrown the seat, you can then use one of the following restraints: 1 - Convertible Child Seat If the convertible seat is suitable for approximately 12 months then continue to keep your child rear facing until their shoulders reach the lowest marker.

SUITABLE FOR USE The purchaser should check the measurements between the front of the seat back of the rear seat and all front seats in the car in which the child restraint is intended to be used, to ensure that the space is sufficient. The Infant Carrier MUST NOT TOUCH the front seat of the car.
USING THE INFANT CARRIER - HANDLE POSITIONS The Handle has six LOCKED positions: 1. DRIVE position 2. INTERMEDIATE position 3. CARRY position 4. INTERMEDIATE position 5. INTERMEDIATE position 6. USING THE INFANT CARRIER - INTEGRATED CANOPY & INFANT INSERT INTEGRATED CANOPY Simply pull forward to extend the Cloud Q Canopy. The Canopy has four positions. To retract the Canopy, gently push it back into its original position. INFANT INSERT The Infant Insert will help provide a better harness fit for smaller babies, as well as stability for the torso.

USING THE INFANT CARRIER - SECURING THE CHILD 1. Loosen Harness by firmly pressing down on the Harness Adjustment Button while pulling forward on both straps at shoulder level 2. Press red button on Harness Buckle to release Tongues. 3. Place child in Infant Carrier in seated position making sure their bottom is in the seat, and their back is fully supported.

USING THE INFANT CARRIER - SECURING THE CHILD (Continued) 6. Pull up on Harness Straps to snug around the child's hips while holding the Harness Buckle in place. 7. Slowly pull the adjuster strap to tighten the Shoulder Straps. A snug strap should not allow any slack.
USING THE INFANT CARRIER OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE ADJUSTING THE RECLINE POSITION A new function of the Cloud Q is that it can be reclined to RECLINED MODE an almost horizontal position outside of the car. With an extended leg-rest and a fully reclined backrest, the child can lie comfortably and in an ergonomically correct position.
ADJUSTING THE RECLINE ANGLE USING THE BASE It is very important for your child's safety that this child restraint be installed at the correct recline angle. Before attaching the Infant Carrier to the Base, always check the Level Indicator for the correct recline angle range based on your child’s weight.
INSTALLING THE BASE USING A LAP AND SHOULDER BELT 1. Position Base on a rear vehicle seat. 2. Adjust the Leveling Foot to achieve the correct angle range for your child's weight as shown on the Level Indicator. See page 21 3.

Then remove slack from the shoulder belt on the opposite side At this point, only remove slack from the vehicle belts, being careful not to over tighten them.
ATTACHING INFANT CARRIER TO BASE IN THE CAR 1. Make sure handle is LOCKED in the CARRY position. 2. Lift Infant Carrier by the Handle and slide the Attachment Rod under the Attachment Catch on the Base, and rotate foot end of the Infant Carrier down onto the Base until an audible CLICK is heard.

RELEASING INFANT CARRIER FROM BASE If used, retract the L.S.P. device. See page 27 1. Disconnect the Tether Loop from the Attachement Hook 2. Roll the Tether Loop and place it in the Tether Loop Storage Pocket 3. Move the carry handle into the CARRY position 4.
The L.S.P. telescopes out to two positions, fully extended and intermediate. Pull out the L.S.P. device on the side of the Cloud Q adjacent to the vehicle door or panel listening for an audible CLICK. If the L.S.P. device is touching the door or panel, retract the L.S.P.
D. Ensure the buckle is free of fluff, liquid or other matter that may enter the buckle slots. Clean the buckle if it is sluggish to engage. E. - Do not pull sticky items from covers as the cover may be damaged - soak in water and gently remove. VERY IMPORTANT Only replace the cover with CYBEX supplied replacement cover with identical shoulder height markers or a replacement cover meeting AS/NZS 8005.
CARE AND CLEANING (Continued) REMOVING AND REINSTALLING THE SEAT COVER BACKREST COVER The integrated Harness System cannot be removed from the seat. NEVER remove or attempt to remove parts of the Harness System. DO NOT damage, remove or dispose of any EPS foam. NEVER use Infant Carrier without a properly installed Seat Cover.
ACCESSORIES SHOULDER PADS The Shoulder Pads provide a more comfortable fit for the infant while it sits inside the carrier. Those removable soft pads protect the sensitive areas around the neck, shoulders arms and chest of the infant, by avoiding immediate contact with the harness.
INSTALLATION OF CAR’S UPPER ANCHORAGE POINT FOR CARS FITTED WITH A CHILD RESTRAINT UPPER ANCHORAGE POINT Locate the upper anchorage point behind the rear seating position. (Consult the car owners handbook for the location of the upper anchorage point). The upper anchorage point should be directly behind and central to the restraint. Remove thread plug from the parcel shelf / floor / roof, etc.
INSTALLATION OF CAR’S UPPER ANCHORAGE POINT (Continued) FOR CARS NOT FITTED WITH A CHILD RESTRAINT UPPER ANCHORAGE POINT For Sedans only - Drill 9mm diameter hole in the parcel shelf on the centre line of the seating position as shown in Figure 2. Install the anchor bolt as shown in Figure 3 (next page). It is recommended that this installation be carried out by a child restraint fitting station or licenced motor mechanic.
