- Page 3 UX-L40/UX-L30 Preventing static electricity 1.Grounding to prevent damage by static electricity Electrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when static electricity stored in the body, fabric, etc. is discharged, can destroy the laser diode in the traverse unit (optical pickup). Take care to prevent this when performing repairs.

- Page 5 UX-L40/UX-L30 Disassembly method <Main body> Removing the Metal cover (See Fig.1 to 3) Remove the six screws A on the back of the main body. Remove the screw B on each side and remove the cover in the direction of the arrow.
