I have a Toyota 2260 EC1 series sewing machine. It does straight stitching when upper tension is on 5.5, but cannot do zigzag stitching.
I **** attaching photo of straigt stitching on stitch length 3 and zigzag on stitch length 2 and zigzag width of 4. It doesn’t pick up the bottom thread on the left hand side. You will see the holes left by the needle.
Can you tell me what is wrong, please?

The Toyota 2260 EC1 series sewing machine may not pick up the bottom thread during zigzag stitching due to the following possible causes:
1. Needle Issues: - Needle not fully inserted. - Needle is bent. - Incorrect needle size or type for the material.
4. Shuttle Problems: - Too much oil on the shuttle. - Lint stuck in the bobbin case or tension spring.
To fix the issue, check that the needle is correctly inserted and not bent, rethread the upper and lower threads properly, adjust the thread tension, and clean lint from the bobbin case and shuttle.

Hi, I've tried using the EC1(B) series manual only to discover it was a not the same as the machine I have. The manula has three dials on the fron, whereas mine has two dials and a lever at the top.
Need help?
