Troubleshooting

Some problems occurs due to the connected components. If the problem cannot be resolved after checking the connected components, ask the
service center or dealer for repairs.
! This unit may not operate properly due to static electricity or other external influences. In such cases, disconnect the power cord, wait for approxi-
mately one minute, and connect it again to restore normal operation.
Problem
The unit does not turn on.
This unit is not recognized.
Tracks are not displayed in the library.
iTunes tracks are not displayed in
the library.
Music files in the library cannot be
edited (changing track names, etc.).
Recording is not possible.
Sound is not output, or sound is too
small.
Sound is distorted.
Sound is interrupted when using the
DJ software.

Is the [STANDBY/ON] switch turned on?
Is the power cord properly connected?
Is the included USB cable properly connected?
Are you using a USB hub?
Is the driver software properly set?
Have music files been imported?
Is a crate or subcrate that does not contain any
tracks selected?
Is [Show iTunes Library] on the
[Library+Display] tab in the [SETUP] menu
checked?

Remedy
Turn on the [STANDBY/ON] switch.
Connect the power cord to an AC outlet. (page 6 )
Connect the included USB cable properly.
USB hubs cannot be used. Connect the computer and this unit directly using
the included USB cable.
Set the driver software properly. (page 4 )
Import the music files properly.
For details on importing music files, see the Serato DJ software manual.
Either select a crate or subcrate that contains tracks or add tracks to the crate
or subcrate.
Check [Show iTunes Library].

Disable [Protect Library].
Adjust the gain control on the [REC] panel in the Serato DJ software.
Save the recording after it is completed.

Set the [TRIM] control, channel faders, crossfader, [INPUT SELECT] switch and
[MASTER LEVEL] control to the proper positions.
Properly set the external input selection, volume, etc., on the powered speakers,
etc.
Connect the connection cables properly.
Clean the terminals and plugs before connecting them to the unit.
Set the driver software properly. (page 4 )
Adjust the [MASTER LEVEL] control to confirm that the master level indicator
lights up in orange at the highest volume.
Adjust the [TRIM] control so that the channel level indicator lights up in orange
at the peak level.
Set the latency of the driver software to a suitable value.
Set the latency of the DJ software to a suitable value.
Set the [INPUT SELECT] switch to the proper position.
Set the ASIO driver before launching Serato DJ.
Normal operation can sometimes be restored by unplugging the power cord,
waiting at least 1 minute, then plugging the power cord back in. If the symptom
persists, unplug the power cord and request repairs.
