before carrying out the following steps.

Caution. Employ normal antistatic precautions while
handling chips and PCBs.
Caution. To avoid damaging EPROM, base or PCB, it is
essential that you use an approved IC extractor in this
procedure.

Undo locks and
swing open the case

to reveal the
microprocessor unit.
Unlock and open cover plate and
hinge out to expose captive
screws.
Unscrew captive screws and
swing front cover upwards. Lock
into position using the hinged
stay on the right hand side.
Remove processor PCB.
