Chapter1. Network Recorder Overview

1.1. Introduction

The Network Recorder is a digital data recording and archiving system solution that receives video, audio
and alarm log from network cameras and video servers from multiple sites in real time.

1.2. Features

The Network Recorder program does not limit the number of units that can be registered. The program
simultaneously records up to 32 video and audio channels.
User can map 32 channels from registered units (network cameras and video servers) to 32 virtual channels of
the program. Once assigned with video channels, the program runs like a regular DVR. User may configure
recording parameters and schedule more flexibly than DVRs. Any sensor or relay can be assigned to any video
channel.
The program manages remote users and local users independently. Administrator can also assign different
rights to users. The program does not limit the number the registered users.
The program supports scheduling of recorded data with different parameters by days and hours of the week.
Administrator can create normal and alarm recording mode with different rates, resolutions, and recording
qualities. Administrator can select any or all events for sensor signal input, motion detection, and video signal
loss. The program supports pre- and post-alarm for up to 60 seconds.
The program records, searches and transmits data over the network.

The Network Recorder package contains the main unit and its components as specified below. When you
purchase the unit, please check to ensure the components specified below are included. If any
components are missing, please contact your local vendor.
