Safety Safety Proper use The cordless drill is only suitable for drilling and driving screws into wood, plastic and metal. The cordless drill is not designed to be used commercially, in trades or for industrial applications; it is only designed for private users and DIY projects. The cordless drill may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose.

Safety Electrical safety a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.

A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the pow- er tool may result in personal injury. e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Safety d) Never connect a rechargeable battery that has burst or been otherwise damaged with the charger. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. e) Do not in any case dismantle the charger. Repairs may only be per- formed by an authorised technical support team. Incorrectly per- formed assemblies could pose a risk of fire or electric shock.

Preparation − Never place the cordless drill, the rechargeable battery or the charger on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stovetops etc.). − Ensure that the mains cord of the charger does not come into contact with hot parts. − Never expose the cordless drill, the rechargeable battery or the charger to high temperatures (heaters etc.) or to the ef- fects of the weather (rain etc.).

Operation 7. Slide the rechargeable battery into the rechargeable battery holder of the cordless drill until it audibly locks into place (see fig. C). The cordless drill is now operational. Operation WARNING! Risk of injury! If you use the cordless drill improperly, you could hurt yourself and other persons.
Operation − Only use the enclosed drill bit for metal, wood and plastic. Inserting tools 1. To clamp in one of the drill bits or a bit in the quick-action drill chuck turn it counterclockwise (see fig. D). This will open the quick-action drill chuck. 2.

Repairs Repairs WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Repairs performed by the user or the use of unsuitable spare parts to repair the device poses an increased risk of electric shock. − Do not open the housing. Liability and warranty claims are waived in the event of repairs performed by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation.
Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so, follow the instructions in the following table. If it is still not possible to resolve the problem with the cordless drill, contact the after sales support.
