    1) Your TV can accept progressive signals, a progressive scan TV is required. 2) You have connected the DVD player to your TV using YPbPr (see page 10.) Turn on your TV. Turn off your TV progressive scan mode or turn on interlaced mode (refer to your TV user manual.)

    Sound Mode The options included in Sound Mode Setup are: ‘3D’, ‘Movie Mode’ and ‘Music Mode’. In ‘AUDIO SETUP PAGE’, press 3 4 to highlight {SOUND MODE}, then press 2. Press the 3 4 keys to highlight an option. Enter its submenu by pressing 2. Press 3 4 to select a setting, then press OK to confirm your selection.

    To remove the menu, press 01-39 xDV434_Eng_191 Setting the TV Display Set the aspect ratio of the DVD Player according to the TV you have connected. The format you select must be available on the disc. If it is not, the setting for TV display will not affect the picture during playback.

    In the progressive scan mode, you can enjoy the high quality picture with less flickers. It only works when you have connected the DVD player’s YPbPr jacks to your TV that supports the progressive video input. Otherwise, the a distorted picture will appear on the TV.

    Analog: Sound that has not been turned into numbers. Analog sound varies, while digital sound has specific numerical values. These jacks send audio through two channels, the left and right. Aspect ratio: The ratio of vertical and horizontal sizes of a displayed image. The horizontal vs. vertical ratio of conventional TVs.
