Branch Circuit Protection

For installation in Canada, branch circuit protection must be provided in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and
any applicable provincial codes. To fulfill this requirement, use the UL classified fuses.

Main Circuit Terminal Wiring

Yaskawa recommends using closed-loop crimp terminals on all drive models. To maintain CSA approval, CSA Certified
closed-loop crimp terminals are specifically required when wiring the drive main circuit terminals on models 2o0028 to
2o0248 and 4o0011 to 4o0930. Use only the tools recommended by the terminal manufacturer for crimping.

The wire gauges listed in the following tables are Yaskawa recommendations. Refer to local codes for proper wire gauge
selections.
The external power supply shall be a CSA certified or cUL Listed Class 2 power source only or equivalent. Refer to
D.10
for details.

The drive is CSA certified as Industrial Control Equipment Class 3211.
