It is blinking when stop recording is requested. Some delay may happen with effective recording, when the zoom is busy. If you are using a camera model which is not supported, you can press «record» on your camera. LED full green : recording command is ON TILT manual set up Set the TILT of the camera by screwing more or less the screw at the rear of the robot.
Tell PIXIO which camera you are using The micro-SD card slot is on the side of PIXIO When using PIXIO for the first time, or when changing the camera model, you must update the camera parameters kept in the memory of the robot. First, download the file that corresponds to your camera model at http://www. movensee.com/pixio-customer-care-center. Record the PIXCAM.cfg file on the root directory of a micro-SD card (non provided. Must be formated with FAT32 format). Check that the name of of file is PIXCAM. cfg without any ...(1) or ...(2) at the end of the name. If needed, rename the file PIXCAM.cfg Insert the micro-SD card in the robot slot. Swith ON the robot (do not press any other button than the switch ON button). A few quick flashes of the LEDs occur, and the file has disappeared from the micro SD card. The parameters of the robot have been updated and stored in its memory.
Zoom settings Initialisation of the zoom When you switch ON the PIXIO robot, and also when it starts tracking you, the (supported) camera zooms out totally, and then zooms in automatically. Personal settings When the tracking is started, you can modify the automatic zoom level of the zoomIN zoomOUT robot. Just press by successive short pressing. The new settings are automatically recorded for future use. Those buttons only work when the tracking is started, and when the zoom is not blocked in the wide setting. Zoom behavior For quality reasons, the automatic zoom changes with small successive increments. When the automatic zoom is very busy, a complete zoom out sometimes occurs, and the zoom command rapidely comes back to the normal value.
Advanced settings Micro-beacons location • Place the beacon n°1 (which is used as a target for the initialisation) as far as possible from the robot. It will improve the left-right accuracy of the tracking. • Check that there are direct lines of sight between the beacons, and between Optimal Bad orientation the robot and each beacon. Or at least check that any obstacle is small. orientation • Keep the robot, the beacons, and the watch at more than 20-30 cm (10 inches) from massive metallic parts. Avoid operating near a big electrical transformer, powerful antenna, etc. • PIXIO generally works very well even in the presence of metal, such as metallic walls. Just put the beacons at more than 20-30 cm (10 inches) from the walls. • The best height for the beacons is 1 to 2m (3 to 6 ft) from the ground. • Set the beacon perpendicular to the ground • Check that the beacons are ON and the light is full green. • The positions of the beacons are very flexible, but tracking and accuracy are better with proper configuration...

Lock screws for heavy cameras You can lock the TILT axis by tightening the 2 screws apart the rotation axis as shown below. You can use an hexagonal screwdriver with diameter 2.5mm. Do not exceed a torque of 2 Nm. Release the screws in order to release the TILT rotation. Tighten the 2 screws of the TILT axis if you need to lock the TILT for a heavy camera.
Use the mains outlets You can plug the PIXIO robot and the micro-beacons to the mains. This is usefull to film longer, and to install your system in a fixed position. Power 5V DC, 700mA min (not provided) Power 5V DC, 2A min (e.g. the one provided) For the beacons, use 3 micro-USB chargers 5V DC, 700 mA min. For the PIXIO robot, use a micro-USB charger 5V DC, 2A min (or the one which is provided).
Film from an elevated location PIXIO can be used to film from an elevated location. Just set the TILT axis with the screw at the rear of the TILT axis, and chose the distance between the camera and the area you want to film, as shown below. With appropriate settings, the auto-zoom keeps you in the frame. The best settings depend on the configuration of the premises, of the auto-zoom level, and of the kind of framing you prefer. So there is no hard and fast rule for those settings.
How to restrict the rotation of the robot (useful when an external device is plugged to the robot) ? You may need to connect an external equipment (streaming dongle, charger, etc.) to the robot or the camera during operation. To prevent the cables from wrapping around the robot, you can restrict the rotation of the robot to +/- 180° from to the beacon n°1 thanks to an adjustable option in the PIXIO_Remote application. To do this, launch the PIXIO_Remote application on your phone / tablet (refer to page 25). ► click on «Settings» ► Disable the option ► Validate by pressing «OK» -- 360 Degree Endless --...
