[Delete all images on system]
Delete all images imported to Connect Station.
[Format system hard disk]
Delete all images imported to Connect Station as well as all its settings.
When you perform [Format system hard disk], all the images imported to
Connect Station will be deleted. Even protected images will be deleted, so make
sure there is nothing you need to keep. Back up the necessary recorded data
before executing formatting.
When formatting the hard disk to transfer or dispose Connect Station, see "Disposal
and Transfer of the Product" (p.9).
Do not remove or insert a card or USB cable during formatting or firmware update.
If an error occurs while the system hard disk is formatted, the hard disk may be
damaged. In such a case, contact the nearest Canon Service Center.

Protected images will not be
deleted.
Once an image is deleted, it
cannot be recovered. Backing up
images before deleting them is
recommended.
When you press <M>, the
deletion will start.
When you press <M>, the
formatting will start.
The normal formatting cannot
delete all the data on Connect
Station's hard disk. To delete the
data completely, press <S> to
append [z] for [Low-level
format], then execute formatting.
When the formatting is complete,
Connect Station will restart.
The standard time it takes for
formatting is as follows.
• Normal formatting: Approx. 1
minute
• Low-level formatting: Approx.
