5.8 Updating the printer firmware
5.8.1
Confirming the firmware version
After turning on the power, confirm the version of the firmware on the Splash screen displayed on the
liquid crystal display (LCD).

Procedures for updating the firmware via USB flash/thumb
drive (bizhub 4020 only)
The following procedure explains the firmware update by using USB flash/thumb drive. This procedure
is applied for bizhub 4020 only.
Note: USB drive must be formatted for the FAT32 and not NTFS.
1. Store the firmware file (xxxx.fls) which are compatible with the product to the USB flash/thumb drive.
2. Insert the USB flash/thumb drive into the front panel USB port.
