Section 3 - Installation - Access Point
This section will walk you through the installation of the DIR-890L as an access point. The DIR-890L is configured by default to operate in Router
Mode. It is recommended to perform a hardware reset and disconnect it from your network before proceeding.
• Configure the DIR-890L with the computer that was last connected directly to your Internet connection. Verify that it is connected to the
Internet before connecting additional devices.
• If you are connecting a considerable amount of networking equipment, it may be a good idea to take the time to label each cable or take
a picture of your existing setup before making any changes.
• If you are using this device to extend the range of your existing wireless network, you may need to use trial and error to determine an
acceptable placement location.
