Motions and Gestures

Control certain device actions
by touching the screen with the
palm of your hand.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Motions and gestures.
3. Tap each of the following and then tap ON/OFF
to enable:
•
Direct call: Call the contact whose call log,
message, or contact details are currently on
the screen by bringing the device close to
your ear.
•
Smart alert: Set the device to vibrate when
you pick it up to notify you about missed calls
and messages.
•
Mute/pause: Mute or pause sounds and video
by covering the screen or turning over the
device.
•
Palm swipe to capture: Capture an image
of the screen when you sweep your hand left
or right across the screen. The screenshot is
saved to the clipboard and to the Screenshots
folder in the Gallery app.
