Mounting the Grinding Tools
(accessories)
Before any work on the machine itself, re-
move the battery.
Use only grinding tools with a permissible
speed at least as high as the no-load speed
of the machine.
Roughing and cutting discs can become
very hot during operation; therefore, pro-
tective gloves must be worn.
In case of visible damage to the SDS clamp-
ing system the machine must not be used any
further. The machine must be sent to an after-
sales service agent (see section "Service and
Customer Assistance" for address).
Mounting
The spindle is locked by pressing the SDS re-
lease button 14.
Observe the dimensions of the grinding discs.
Use only original grinding discs for the Bosch
SDS system.
Clean the tool holder and all parts to be mounted.
When using the rubber sanding pad 9, remove
the protection guard 6 if required by the applica-
tion.
– Place the grinding disc onto the centring col-
lar 11. Rotate the grinding disc until the
notches of the grinding disc coincide with the
cams 12 of the centring collar 11. The grinding
disc drops into the tool holder.

– Rotate the grinding disc in clockwise direction
applying pressure, until the grinding disc can
be heard to engage ("click").

Disassembly
– Press the SDS release button 14 and hold. At
the same time, rotate the grinding disc in coun-
ter-clockwise direction.
– Let go of the SDS release button 14 and re-
move the grinding disc.
