Writing text by using predictive
text input
The predictive text input allows you to write text using a built-in
dictionary. The
input is on. Note that the predictive text input may not be available
for all display languages. See "Setting predictive text input on/off
and selecting dictionary language"on page 38.

Quick guide to the predictive text input

In the predictive text input you only need to press each number key
once for one letter. The word changes after each keystroke - do not
pay any attention to how the word appears on the display before
you have keyed in all its characters.
For example, to write Nokia when the English dictionary is selected,
press:
(for n)
Use for word entry. Press each key only once for one
-
letter.
Press to view the next matching word if the
underlined word is not the one you intended.
Spell
Press to add a new word to the dictionary. Write the
word by using the traditional text input which is
indicated by
Press once to accept a word and to add a space.
Press and hold to enter the number input which is
indicated by 123.
Press once to change the character case. Upper case
is indicated by ABC, lower case by abc.
