Specify a primary number If any names in your Phone book have multiple numbers, it’s a good idea to specify the number that you dial most often (for that name) as the primary number. By assigning the "most-used" number as primary, you’re telling the phone to dial that number when you select the name for dialing - a great time saver when dialing names with 2 or more numbers.
4 Press OK to accept your changes. The number edit screen appears. • Scroll with the roller to move the cursor between numbers. • Press Clear to backspace and delete. • Enter numbers using the keypad. • Press repeatedly to cycle through dialing codes. 5 Press OK when you are finished.

• Your phone’s memory Your phone has two types of memory - Phone memory and SIM memory. You can save names and numbers to either of these memory types, but there are advantages specific to each type. Phone memory is the default, but you can switch between SIM and Phone memory any time you like.

9. Call log* Call log stores information about missed, dialed, or received calls. In order for Call log to work, all of the following must exist: • Your clock must be set (see page 11). • Your service provider must support caller ID, and it must be enabled.

• Clear digital call timers ..Clears all the timers from memory. Note: Clear digital call timers clears all timers for your phone and can’t be undone. If you use call timers to track the time you spend on your phone, do not use this feature.
10. Voice mail* Voice mail allows callers to leave a voice message, which can be retrieved at any time. However, voice mail is independent of your phone’s software. To use voice mail, your service provider must furnish a voice mail subscription and a voice mailbox number.
• Call and setup your voice mailbox* Now that you’ve saved your voice mailbox number, you can call the number and customize your mailbox. 1 Press and hold 2 Once the pre-recorded greeting begins, press voice instructions. If you have two phone lines* Your phone can support two lines if your service provider has programmed your SIM card for this feature.
11. Profiles With Profiles you can pre-select how your phone behaves in different environments. 12. Advanced features • Advanced dialing Some numbers (such as voice mail) require a pause or require a code at some point during the dialing process. You can save any number along with its specific pause or code for easy dialing in the future.
• In-call options* You have several options while in a call. However, many of these options are dependent upon your service provider. To arrive at any of the in-call options outlined in the following paragraphs, press Options and scroll to any item using the roller. Press the roller to select the option or enter its submenu.
With one call on hold while another is active Press Options to display the following: • End active call ..Ends the active call only. • Conference call ..Allows up to 6 people to take part in a call. •...

Advanced features • Calling cards Calling cards are useful if you’d like to use your phone for more than one account. For example, if your phone’s for personal use, but your employer would also like you to use your phone for business calls, you can charge all of your business calls to a calling card.
Call using a calling card 1 At the Start screen, enter the phone number you wish to call. 2 Press and hold The number is dialed using the selected card. • Voice dialing Any 10 numbers in your phone book can be setup for voice dialing. Before you can voice dial a number, you’ll need to assign it a "voice tag."...
Notes about voice tags • Voice tags can be no longer than 2 seconds. • Voice tags replay immediately after they’re recorded. • Recording stops automatically. Pressing Stop aborts the recording. • For best results, choose a quiet location when creating a voice tag (avoid areas with background noise).

2 Pronounce the voice tag clearly into the microphone from a distance of 6-12 inches. Note: If the voice tag is not accepted, or if you fail to pronounce the tag within 3 seconds, the message No match found appears and the display returns to the Start screen.
• 1-touch dialing After you’ve added a name to your Phone book, you can assign the name to any key from 2 through 9. Once you’ve done this, and activated 1-touch dialing, the associated number is dialed when you press that key. Note: is used exclusively for dialing your voice mailbox.

Make a call using 1-touch dialing Before you make a call using 1-touch dialing, make sure you’ve assigned a key to 1-touch dialing and that it is activated (see “Assign a key to 1-touch dialing” earlier in this section). • Press and hold the key that you previously assigned to the phone number.
13. Customize your phone • Customize the roller Normally, when you’re at the Start screen and you press the roller, you’re presented with a list of names and numbers saved to your phone book. You can change this so that pressing the roller takes you to another feature.
• Display cell information In some networks, localized information such as weather alerts or event welcome messages are broadcast to the public. You can set your phone to display this information whenever it’s available. 1 At the Start screen, press Menu. 2 Scroll until Settings appears and press the roller.
• SIM services If you have this feature enabled, you can set the phone to display any confirmation messages within a SIM services session that are sent between your phone and the service provider. Note: You must direct any questions about this feature to the company that provided your SIM card.
14. Security You can use keypad lock, restrict incoming and outgoing calls, use security codes, and other methods to secure your phone against unauthorized use. • Lock the keypad You can lock your phone’s keypad to prevent accidental calls while carrying the phone in your pocket or purse.
