My Yamaha Electronic Piano powers on and the different tones all light up but there in no sound. What is the issue?

If your Yamaha P-200 powers on and the tones light up but there is no sound, possible issues include:

1. The internal speakers may not be working, but the sound could still come through the headphone or mono output jack.
2. There may be a problem with the jacks or internal connections, even if some parts have already been replaced.
3. The instrument could have a setting issue, such as being in Dual mode or having modified performance parameters.

    P-200 DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE Opening Control Panel Unit Remove the four (4) screws marked [240] located under the keybed. (Fig. 1) * Lift the control panel unit from the front and pass strings through two side plates and both ends of the keybed, as shown in the figure so that hinges are not damaged.
  • Page 6 P-200 DM Circuit Board Open the control panel unit. (see procedure 1) Remove the four (4) screws marked [920A]. The DM circuit board can then be removed. (Fig. 3) * Lithium battery is not a part of DM circuit board. When you replace the DM circuit board, remove the lithium battery and install it in the new circuit board.

(Fig. 3) Speakers 11-1 Open the control panel unit. (see procedure 1) 11-2 Remove the four (4) screws marked [4]. The speaker can then be removed.

The keyboard assembly can then be removed. (Fig. 3) * When taking the keyboard assembly out of the main unit, slide it backward and hold it in the middle.
