How to Use Settings

Accessing Settings
► From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
– or –
From a Home screen, drag down from the Status
bar to display the Notification panel, and then tap
Settings.
The main Settings screen displays with the
Connections tab selected.
Accessing a Specific Setting
1. From the main Settings screen, tap one of the
tabs at the top of the screen.
2. Tap the specific setting.
For example, to display sound settings:
► From a Home screen, tap
> My device tab > Sound.

Settings Tabs
The Settings are divided into four main groups.
When the Settings screen displays, the following
tabs are located at the top of the screen:
Connections: Settings related to the connection
of your device to external sources, such as Wi-Fi
and Bluetooth.
My device: Settings that provide access to device
configuration and customization features, such as
Lock screen, Display, Sound, and Call.
Accounts: Create and modify your accounts
(Samsung, Google, email, and more), configure
Cloud functionality, and access Backup and reset
features.
More: Access to the remaining set of device
settings, such as location, security, battery,
storage, date and time, and About device, which
lists information about your device and access to
software updates for you phone.
Note: The settings for your device are described
below using the order in which they appear in
the Settings menu. Functions found under the
Connections tab are listed first, followed by the other
tabs.
