TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
The start switch will not
stay in the on position.
The water tank does
not illuminate and your
HotCup does not

dispense boiling water.
Your HotCup does not
™
dispense a full cup of water
Your HotCup produces
™
excess steam but does not
dispense boiling water.
Your HotCup makes a
™
noise and there is a 'clunk'
sound after water has been
dispensed.
Water drips from the
dispensing nozzle after the
boil cycle has finished.
Steam comes out from
behind the start button
and behind the dispensing
nozzle.
The water reservoir is
getting hot.
Your HotCup immediately
™
turns iteslf on when it is
placed on the power base.

Possible Cause
Your HotCup has not

reset itself after the boiling
cycle.
• Your HotCup is not

plugged in.
• Your HotCup is not

positioned correctly on
its power base.
• The fuse has blown.
• Your HotCup has

boiled dry.
• Your HotCup has
™
excessive scale.
• The dispensing control
may be set too low.
• There is not enough
water in your HotCup
• Your HotCup has

excessive scale.
This is the sound of the
internal valve operating
after the boil cycle finishes.
There is a residual amount
of water left inside your
HotCup after the boil
™
cycle.
Steam is being vented in a
controlled manner through
designed vents.
Hot water is being returned
to the water reservoir.
Your HotCup is already

switched on.
Solution
Your HotCup
™
hot after the last boil cycle.
Wait a few seconds for it to
cool slightly before trying
again.
• Check your HotCup
plugged in and switched
on at the supply socket.
• Check that the
dispensing nozzle is
positioned centrally over
the drip tray.
• Check the fuse in the
plug.
• Allow your HotCup
cool down completely
then refill it with water.
• Descale your HotCup
• Adjust the dispensing
control.
• Fill with water up to
. the MAX marking then

restart the boil cycle.
