A sticky or improperly operating throttle could cause an accident resulting in severe injury or death. • Always contact your Service Center for service repairs whenever throttle problems arise. -

HOUR METER The SCOUT vehicle is equipped with an hour meter, located on the dash panel to the left of the steering column (Figure 8). The hour meter should be used by the trained technician in order to track vehicle usage and determine when periodic service procedures are required. -

Owners: Review the information in this manual with any person who may be operating this SCOUT vehicle. It is up to you to instruct other riders in the proper and safe way to operate a SCOUT vehicle. Set boundaries and adhere to them, keeping everyone’s safety foremost in your mind. Never allow anyone under 16 (including any children) to operate this SCOUT vehicle. -

Use the following checklist as a guide to inspect the vehicle and check daily for proper operation. Any problems should be corrected by your SCOUT vehicle Retailer/Service Center or a trained technician. • Transmision Gear Shift Lever: Check for proper operation. See Transmision Gear Shift Lever on page 11. - Page 16 It is strongly recommended that owners not install any non-Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplied equipment on a Yerf-Dog SCOUT in order to increase its speed or power. Do not make any modification to the Yerf-Dog SCOUT for that purpose. Any modification of the vehicle’s original equipment may substantially increase the risk of serious injury or death.

SCOUT VEHICLE BREAK-IN PERIOD The break-in period for your SCOUT vehicle is the time it takes for the vehicle to use up the first full tank of gasoline. This break-in period is vital to the efficiency, performance and long engine life. -
