BATTERY WARNING
1. Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly.

2. (a) Do not mix old and new batteries.
(b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.
3. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
4. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat
and rupture.( Follow battery manufacturer's directions ).
6. Dispose the old batteries in accordance with the local regulation.
AC ADAPTER OPERATION
1. Plug the AC adaptor ( not included) into normal AC power outlet socket.
2. Insert the DC plug of the AC adaptor cord into the DC JACK (#16) at the side of
the unit.
3.
When the unit is operated using AC adapter, the battery source will automatically
be disconnected.
NOTE: Only use adaptor which has an output
voltage rated at DC 3V
a center negative plug.
WARNING : Before connecting to the power supply, ensure that the supply
corresponds to the information on the rating label at the back of the apparatus.
1. Put on your earphones and insert the plug of your earphones into the EARPHONE
JACK (#11).
2. Switch the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#12) to "RADIO".
3. Switch the AM/FM BAND SELECTOR (#15) to "AM" or "FM" for the desired band.
4. Turn the TUNING CONTROL (#14) to select the desired radio station.
5. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL (#8) to obtain the desired sound level.
6. To turn the radio off, switch the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#12) to "TAPE".
TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION
1. The earphone cord works as an external FM antenna. To insure maximum FM
tuner sensitivity, always keep the earphone cord fully extended. Do not wind or
fold the earphone cord while listening to the radio.
2. When tuning in AM reception, be sure to place the unit in a vertical position. For
maximum AM sensitivity, keep turning the unit slowly while keeping it vertical until
the best reception is obtained.
