Testing steps (above maximum level):
9 Check the cylinder head, valve surfaces,
and piston crown for carbon deposits.
6. Install:
• Spark plug

RATED ENGINE SPEED

1. Remove:
9 Cover
2. Connect:
9 Inductive tachometer 1
3. Inspect:
9 Rated engine speed
Specified engine speed → OK
Out of specification → Refer to "TROU-
BLESHOOTING" in CHAPTER 3.
Inspection steps:
9 Operate the engine (with no load).
9 Turn economy switch 1 to "OFF" a.
9 Measure the rated engine speed.

BREATHER HOSE

1. Remove:
9 Cover
2. Inspect:
9 Breather hose 1
Cracks/damage → Replace.
Poor connection → Correct.
