    AZ1K Chassis Models Overview LCD Panel Assembly The LCD Panel Assembly includes the LCD Panel, TCON/HFR Board , and CCFL Backlight system. The LCD Panel contains the actual liquid crystals, color filters, and polarizers. The liquid crystals are manipulated by the applied voltage to pass a specific amount of light - from the backlight- depending on the level of voltage applied.

    *Low Voltage Protection (LVP) Reference Figures 2-5, 2.6, and 2-7 *Over Voltage Protection (OVP) The KDL-55EX500, KDL-55EX501, and KDL-60EX500 include the following protection mode blink patterns (or self-diagnostics). A loss or excessive condition of the AU12Vdc secondary voltage from the main power supply will cause a 2X blink pattern on the Standby-LED.

    AZ1K Chassis Models Overview 7X Blink - Temperature Failure In either case the A-Board must be replaced to fix the problem. These models do not display a temperature warning OSD dialogue box before shutting-off and going into a 7X Standby-LED blink pattern. It will just shut-off and activate a 7X without any usually warning on the screen.
