When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components from the defective
system board and install on the replacement system board:
SIM (see
Memory module (see
WLAN module (see
WWAN module (see
Modem module (see
Processor (see
Remove the system board:
1.
Position the computer upright and open it.
2.
Disconnect the display cable from the system board (1) and lift it aside.
3.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screw (2) that secures the system board to the base enclosure.
4.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screw (3) that secures the system board to the base enclosure.
5.
Lift to remove the power connector bracket on the right side of the system board (4).
The power connector bracket is available in the Bracket Kit, spare part number 646045-001.
