I have a 2002 RM250 my question is about the adjustable choke (by pass starter valve) I can’t find my manual and it doesn’t say anything about it on the PDF manuals online. Is this another way to adjust the A/F ratio from closed throttle to 3/8 open?I believe that’s what the manual I lost stated. I know that backing it out opens the value up and turning it in closes it. I have it set to 12clicks out right now. My question is this must be controlling the air? Because if backing it out is leaning it out and in is richer that must mean it’s air? Also pulling it all the way up until it clicks is the actual fuel enrichment circuit for cold starts? Is all this info correct?

The adjustable choke (bypass starter valve) on a 2002 Suzuki RM250 is used to enrich the air/fuel mixture when starting a cold engine. When pulled, it reduces the amount of air in the mixture, making it richer by allowing more fuel relative to air. This helps the engine start more easily in cold conditions. Once the engine runs steadily, the choke should be returned to its normal position to restore the correct air/fuel ratio for normal operation.
