(1) Overview of the setup procedure
From this on, the setup procedure of Windows XP Mode (guest OS: Microsoft® Windows®
XP Professional) is explained.
The following is a rough flow chart of the setup.
Installing Windows XP Mode
Installing Windows Virtual PC
Preparing Windows® 7 setup
Setting up Windows XP Mode
Setup completes
For information about how to delete Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC from the
computer, see "(6) Uninstalling Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC".
NOTE
・Windows XP Mode requires Windows Virtual PC to be installed in order to run
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional SP3 on the virtual machine.
・End users are responsible for installing Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual
PC. Alternatively, the personnel in charge of constructing the system can do the
installation work in behalf of the end users.
For details, see "(2) Installing Windows XP Mode".
・Windows XP Mode is installed.
・The procedure takes about 10 minutes.

・Windows Virtual PC is installed.
