Workpiece measurement: Measure slot
Measure.
start
When you press the softkey "MEASUREMENT START" the control automatically switches to
"AUTOMATIC" mode and measuring cycle L887 is selected. The measuring cycle is
processed on NC START.
The measuring cycle measures points P1 and P2 in the slot along the measuring axis. The
actual value of the slot as well as the position of the centre point of the slot along the
measuring axis with reference to workpiece zero is calculated.
The probe is at the determined slot centre on completion of measurement.
The control automatically switches to JOG mode and the selection display "WORKPIECE
MEASUREMENT" appears on the screen with the following results
• Width of slot (actual dimension)
• Deviation from set slot width (difference)
• Slot centre in the measured axis in machine or workpiece coordinates
