4. Your upgrade processor is supplied with an extraction
tool which resembles a miniature garden rake.
5. Carefully insert the prongs of the extractor between
the bottom of the processor and its socket. You may
need to twist the extractor gently from side to side to
work the prongs into place.
Be careful to ensure that the prongs do not go between
the motherboard and the socket.
6. Ease the processor up slightly by pushing inwards on
the extractorÕs handle.
Warning
Do not push hard on the handle. The processor must be
removed gradually and evenly by working the tool under
each edge in turn. Attempting to lift one edge of the processor
too far will damage the processor, or the socket, or both.
