Sleep Timer has priority.
• The Play Timer and Recording Timer will not
be activated if the system is turned on or if
"STANDBY" flashes in the display.
• The system turns on 30 seconds before the
preset time. Do not operate the system from
the time the system turns on until the
recording starts.
• The volume is reduced to minimum during
Recording Timer.

Press AMP MENU repeatedly to
select the item you want.
The last selected item setting appears
in the display.
SPECTRUM
Change the spectrum analyzer display.
DIMMER
Adjust the brightness of the front panel
display.

Turn OPERATION DIAL to select
the setting you want.

Press ENTER.
Turning off the display
— Power Saving Mode
The demonstration display and the clock
display can be turned off to minimize the
amount of power consumed during
standby mode (Power Saving Mode).
Press DISPLAY repeatedly while
the system is turned off.

The display changes and the indicators flash
even when the system is turned off.

The clock display automatically turns to
Power Saving Mode after 8 seconds.
Note
You cannot perform the following operations
during Power Saving Mode:
– Setting the clock (page 22).
– Changing the AM tuning interval (page 53).
– Turning on the system by pressing DVD,
TUNER/BAND, TAPE A/B, TV/SAT or
VIDEO on the unit.
– Changing the color system (page 19).
