E X PAUSE button
Use this while recording is in progress to pause
recording. Press this button again to resume recording.
A chapter separator is also created at the position in
which recording was paused.
You can also use this button to pause playback.
To resume playback, press this button again or press
the B PLAY button.
"PAUSE" appears on the front panel display during
pause.
F Z (disc tray) button
Use this to open the disc tray.
G Emergency eject hole
If the disc tray does not open when you press the Z
(disc tray) button, insert a long, thin object such as a
straightened paper clip into this hole to open the disc
tray.
H x STOP button
Use this to stop playback or recording.
A recorded data separator is also created at the position
in which recording was stopped.
I B PLAY button
• Use this to play back the most recent recorded data
stored on the internal hard disk.
• Press this button while playback is paused to resume
playback.
J Disc tray
Insert discs here.
K Infrared receiver
When using the infrared remote control unit, point it
toward this receiver.
L BD/DVD indicator
Displays the status of the BD/DVD drive.

Status
Blinking green Data is being written to the BD/DVD
disc.
Lit green
The recording area of the BD/DVD disc
is full. Insert a different disc.
Lit orange
An error has occurred.
CAUTION
You cannot remove the disc when this indicator is
blinking green.
M HDD indicator
Displays the status of the internal hard disk.

Blinking green The internal hard disk is being
accessed.
Lit orange
An error has occurred.
N SERVER indicator
Displays the server access status.

Blinking green The server is being accessed.
Lit green
The recording area of the server is full.
Lit orange
An error has occurred.
O
USB ports/indicators 1 and 2
Connect USB memory devices, external hard disks,
and other USB media here.
The indicators display the status of USB media access.

Blinking green Data is being written to the USB media.
Lit green
The recording area of the USB media
is full. Insert different media.
Lit orange
An error has occurred.
CAUTION
Never remove the USB media when these indicators
are blinking green.
P 1 (standby) switch / indicator
Use this switch to turn on the unit and the front panel
display. Press this button again to turn off the unit and
enter standby mode.
CAUTION
If the main power switch on the rear panel of the unit
is not set to the ? (on) position, the unit will not turn on
when you press the 1 (standby) switch.
