• Donottrytolightanyappliance.
• Do not touchany electricswitch;do not use any
phone inyourbuilding.
• Immediately callyourgas supplier f roma neighbor's
phone. F ollow thegasauppller's i nstructions.
• If you cannot reachyourgassupplier, call the fire
department.
C. Useonlyyourhandto pushin or turnthegascontrol
knob. N everusetools.If theknobwillnot pushin or
turnbyhand, d on'ttryto repairit, celta qualified ser-
vice technician. Forceor attempted r epairmayresult
ina fireor explosion.
D. Do not usethis applianco i f anyperthas beenunder
water. I mmediately call a qualified servicetechnician
toinspect t heappliance a nd to replaceanypertof the
controlsystem andany gas control w hichhasbeen
under water.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.STOP! R ead the safety information above onthiskd3et.
2.Remove outerdoor.
3. Set the thermostatto lowestsettingbyturningthe
watertemperature dialclockwise, ([

NOT FORCE.

tion. Knobcannotbe turnedfrom"PILOT" to "OFF"
unlessknobIs depressedslightly. D O NOT FORCE.

5. Waitfive(5) minutes to clearout anygas. If youthen
smellgas,STOP!Follow "B" in thesafetyinformation
aboveon this label,If youdon'tsmellgas,go to the
nextstep.
6. Remove (or open)innerdoor locatedbelowthe gas
control unit.
7. Findpilot-follow metaltubefromgascontrol. T hepilot
islocated infrontoftheburner.

8.Ifyou don'tsmeltgas,turnknobongascontrol counter

9. Pushin controlknoball the way and hold down.
Immediately l ight thepilotwitha match.Contfnue t o
hold controlknobin for aboutone (1) minuteafter
thepilotIs lit. Release knobandit willpopbackup.
Pilotshouldremainlit. If If goesout,repeatsteps3
through 8.

immediately call yourservicetechnician or gas
supplier.
• If the pilot will not stay lit after severaltries,
depress andturnthe gascontrol k nobclookwlse

TO TURN
OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE
1. Set the thermostat t o lowest settingbyturningthe

NOT FORCE.

tion. Knobcannotbe turnedfrom "PILOT"to =OFF"
unless knobisdepressed s lightly. DONOT FORCE.
