  • Page 3 Alternatively, MVstation can be opened using the touch interface From the handheld device with Mobile Vstation (MVstation) installed, go to the Desktop 1. Click on the “Start” icon. A drop down list of programs will be displayed. 2. Click on the “File Explorer” menu item.
  • Page 4 Login to Mobile Vstation Once MVstation has been started it will prompt for login 1. Click the login option to be used: Fingerprint: Click “Fingerprint” and place finger on unit biometric reader for scanning. Barcode: Click “Barcode” and scan card with barcode card set as login. NOTE: If no action is taken within 45 seconds the program will close.

  • Page 6 Scanning a Badge The MVstation has a built in bar code scanner. Use it to scan the bar code on an access card to determine if the card holder is allowed access. From the MVstation main screen: 1. Click the “Start Scan” section on the screen. A message will show that the scanner is ready to read the card.
  • Page 7 Search Card Holder Database There will be situations where it is necessary to manually retrieve information from the Card Holder Database to be displayed. From the MVstation main screen: 1. Use the stylus and click on the “Search DB” icon. A search screen will be displayed.
  • Page 8 5. Using the stylus, click on the “Search” button. If a match is found, it will be listed on the Network Database List. NOTE: The search results display is limited to the first 18 returns. If more than 18 results are found, only the first 18 will be available to be seen.
  • Page 9 7. If ready for another read, click on the “Start Scan” icon. If ready to search for another card holder in the database, click on the “Search DB” icon. Display Signature With a Card Holder’s information on the main screen, you can display the card holder’s signature on file from the Card Holder Database.
