This adjustment should be set so the top and bottom of the screen are of equal width.

If other GEOMETRY adjustments are needed, proceed to the necessary adjustment.

When finished with adjustments, or if no changes are required, press the Menu button to return to
the ALIGNMENTS sub-menu.
East-West Corner (EW CORNER) Adjustment
1.
From the GEOMETRY adjustments screen, use the Menu Up/Down keys to highlight EW CORNER.
2.
Input a crosshatch pattern to the antenna/cable input terminal.
3.
Use the Menu Left/Right keys to adjust the value of EW CORNER.
4.
This adjustment affects the very corner sections of the raster, and acts as a "touch-up" of the EW
PARABO adjustment.
5.
This adjustment should be set so the corners of the screen are straight and equal.
6.
If other GEOMETRY adjustments are needed, proceed to the necessary adjustment.
7.
When finished with adjustments, or if no changes are required, press the Menu button to return to
the ALIGNMENTS sub-menu.
Vertical Zoom (VER ZOOM) Adjustment
1.
From the GEOMETRY adjustments screen, use the Menu Up/Down keys to highlight VER ZOOM.
2.
Input a crosshatch pattern to the antenna/cable input terminal.
3.
This adjustment determines the vertical size, or "height," of the video on the raster. It does not move
the raster.
4.
Use the Menu Left/Right keys to adjust the value of VER ZOOM.
5.
This adjustment should be set so the "boxes" of the crosshatch pattern are perfectly square.
6.
If other GEOMETRY adjustments are needed, proceed to the necessary adjustment.
7.
When finished with adjustments, or if no changes are required, press the Menu button to return to
the ALIGNMENTS sub-menu.
SMART SET Adjustments
Note: The following adjustment is only available in sets equipped with Smart Picture.
1. From the ALIGNMENTS sub-menu, highlight SMART SET by pressing the Menu Up/Down keys on the
remote control.
2. Press the Menu Right/Left keys to enter the SMART SET adjustments screen.
3. The SMART SET adjustments are used to set the values of the different Smart Picture settings.
4. The following items can be accessed from the SMART SET adjustments screen:
MOVIE BGT (Movies Brightness): Adjusts the brightness level of the Smart Picture "MOVIES" setting.
MOVIE COL (Movies Color): Adjusts the color level of the Smart Picture "MOVIES" setting.
MOVIE PIC
(Movies Picture): Adjusts the contrast level of the Smart Picture "MOVIES" setting.
MOVIE SHP (Movies Sharpness): Adjusts the sharpness level of the Smart Picture "MOVIES" setting.
MOVIE HUE (Movies Hue): Adjusts the tint level of the Smart Picture "MOVIES" setting.
SPORT BGT (Sports Brightness): Adjusts the brightness level of the Smart Picture "SPORTS" setting.
SPORT COL (Sports Color): Adjusts the color level of the Smart Picture "SPORTS" setting.
SPORT PIC (Sports Picture): Adjusts the contrast level of the Smart Picture "SPORTS" setting.
SPORT SHP (Sports Sharpness): Adjusts the sharpness level of the Smart Picture "SPORTS" setting.
SPORT HUE (Sports Hue): Adjusts the tint level of the Smart Picture "SPORTS" setting.
