Adding an POP3/IMAP Email Account

When setting up an IMAP or POP account, the ET1 may be able to retrieve account settings automatically, or
the user may need to enter certain settings manually.

Automatic Setup

To add an POP3/IMAP Email account:
Touch
> Email.

> Add account.
2.
In the Email address field, enter the account email address.
3.
In the Password field, enter the account password.
4.
Touch Next. Email attempts to communicate with the email service provider to validate the account for
5.
sending and receiving mail, using just the email address and password. This is sufficient for most email
services.
Touch OK. The set up email window appears.

In the Give this account a name (optional) field, enter a name for the Email account.

In the Your name (displayed on outgoing messages) field, enter a name that appears on outgoing
8.
messages.
Touch Done.

Manual Setup

To add an POP3/IMAP Email account:
Touch
> Email.

Touch
> Add account.
2.
In the Email address field, enter the account email address.
3.
In the Password field, enter the account password.
4.
Touch Next. To manually setup the account touch Manual.
5.
Touch POP3/IMAP. The Incoming server settings window appears.
6.
In the Username field, edit the account username.
7.
In the Password field, edit or enter the account password.
8.
In the POP3 server field, edit enter the POP3/IMAP server address.
9.
In the Port field, edit or enter the port number.
10.
In the Security type drop-down list, select the security type.

In the Delete email from server drop-down list, select whether the email message is deleted from the
12.
server or not.
Touch Next. The Outgoing server settings window appears.
