Connect the coaxial cables as required.
Attach one end of an 18-gauge or larger wire to the grounding screw on the Cisco CMC using the M4 panhead Phillips

screw. Then, attach the other end of the grounding wire to an appropriate ground source.
For 220V, connect the AC power cord to an AC power source. For 60V, connect the coaxial cable to the CATV IN or

one of the RF output ports. Then, insert an AC shunt for the coaxial cable. Power on the Cisco CMC. It may take up
to three minutes for the Cisco CMC to come Online.
Verify if the PWR and STATUS LEDs are green, UPLINK LED is green or blinking green, and ALARM LED is OFF, to

ensure that the Cisco CMC is operational.

Close the lid and tighten the six ½-inch closure bolts from 5 ft-lb to 12 ft-lb in the correct sequence as shown in the
figure below using a torque wrench.
