Taking care to ensure that the orientation of the stamp base is correct (see illustration
below) and that the printed surface of the stamp sheet is facing upwards (away from
the stamp base), affi x the stamp sheet to the stamp base.
Rounded edges
The rounded edges indicate the top and
bottom of the stamp face.
• Note that once you affi x a stamp sheet to the stamp base you will not be able to
remove and re-affi x it. Take care that the stamp sheet is positioned correctly when
you affi x it.
• If you are using an oblong stamp that comes with a separately available stamp kit,
certain types of stamp face layouts may result in the rounded edges of the stamp
base to be positioned differently from the normal top-bottom orientation relative to
the stamp layout. Affi x the stamp sheet in accordance with the shape of the oblong
stamp.

Ink the stamp.

Place the stamp base, which now has a stamp sheet affi xed, onto a fl at, level work
surface, with the side of the stamp base where the stamp sheet is affi xed facing
upwards.
