2. Change the engine oil (see page 84).
NOTE: If the tractor will be stored for longer than 3 months, open the
engine hood, remove the spark plugs and pour three tablespoons (approx-
imately 1 oz.) of clean motor oil into the cylinders.
Turn the fan belt several rotations by hand.
Reinstall the spark plugs.
FAN BELT
m Be sure to wear heavy-duty gloves when turning fan belt. If the
tractor has been running, the engine will be very hot. Allow it to cool
before proceeding.
3. Remove the battery and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge it once a
month.
