3. Depending on what type of out-
board motor you have, move the
shift lever or the control lever to the
N (neutral) position.

4. If your outboard motor is a tiller
handle type, engage the emergency
stop switch clip, located at one end
of the emergency stop switch lan-
yard, with the'engine stop switch.
A spare emergency stop switch clip is
provided
near the engine stop switch.
