Adjusting the rear brake lever and brake
pedal
Adjusting the rear brake lever
The rear brake lever free play should be 0.5–
2 mm (0.02–0.08 in).
1. Loosen the locknut.

c. Rear brake lever free play
2. Adjusting bolt
2. Turn the adjusting bolt in direction a to
increase free play, and in direction b to
decrease free play.
3. Tighten the locknut.
If correct free play cannot be obtained, ask a
Yamaha dealer to make that adjustment.
NOTE:

When adjusting the rear brake lever free play:
G
Be sure not to step on the brake pedal.
G
Make sure the brake pedal does not
move.
