This table contains a selection of dishes and the
optimum settings at which to cook them. You can find
out which type of heating and temperature is best for
your dish, which accessories to use, and at which
oven level the dish should be inserted. You will find a
variety of tips about ovenware and preparation, and a
small troubleshooting section in case anything should
go wrong.
It is best to use dark coloured metal baking tins.
Place the cake tin on the wire rack.
The values in the table apply to tins placed in a cold
oven. This saves energy. If you preheat the oven,
shorten the baking time indicated by 5 to 10 minutes.
The temperature and baking time depend on the
amount and consistency of the mixture. This is why
temperature ranges are given in the tables. You should
try the lower temperature first, since a lower
temperature allows more even browning. You can
increase the temperature next time if necessary.
