made inoperable prior to disposal. Pull
the mains plug from the socket and
remove the mains cable from the
appliance.
Deactivate the door lock so that children
cannot be locked inside the oven.

• Use a lid and you halve the energy re-
quirements (compared with cooking
without a lid).
Electrical connections
Warning! Any work required on the
cooker must be carried out by a qualified
expert. Any work carried out by non-
qualified people can mean poorer
cooker performance and result in
personal injury and/or damage to
property.
A cooker that is delivered with a cable and a
plug must be connected to an earthed wall
outlet. The connected rating and voltage are
shown on the data plate. There is a wiring
diagram on the back of the cooker.
The electrical installation is to include a de-
vice whereby it is possible to separate all the
poles of the equipment from the power sup-
ply. The contact breaker should disconnect
all poles of the supply in such way as to en-
sure full disconnection under overvoltage III
connections.
This requirement must be satisfied for safety
reasons.
For cookers with plug: Make sure that the
plug is completely pushed into the mains
socket.
• Use pans with flat bottoms and save
25% energy (compared with uneven
bottoms).
• Make sure that the ceramic glass
plate is clean and dry. Dirt and liquids
impair heat transfer between the pan
and the heating zone.
• Switch off the heating zone and let the
food finish cooking on the residual
heat.
• Steaming and pressure cooking also
save energy.
