Coolant

Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir when the
engine is cold. If the coolant level is below the
"COLD LEVEL" mark, add soft water until it reaches the
"COLD LEVEL" mark. (See pages 8-13–8-14 for more
details.)

Do not remove the coolant reservoir cap when the
engine is hot.

CAUTION :

G Hard water or salt water is harmful to the engine
parts. You may use boiled or distilled water, if soft
water is not available.
G Tap water can be used temporarily in an emer-
gency.
