SELECTION function
Set the mode dial to a, S, A, M, [_C_,
or [_.
Notes
• 5_u can tbcus only on distant subjects in
LANDSCAPE mode.
• Set the Ibrced flash
_ when you use flte
flash in tile tbllowing *nodes:
TWILIGHT mode
LANDSCAPE mode
• When using the SCENE SELECTION
mode, tile AF illuminator (page 25) does
not emit in the tbllowing conditions:
TWILIGHT mode: when the flash
mod_e is not set to the _ forced flash
mode
LANDSCAPE mode: you cannot use
the AF illuminator.

Undel nounal recording conditions the
camera automatically makes various
a_ljustments, such as those for the focus,
iris, exposure, and white balance, as it
shoots. Howevec you may not be able to
cany out your desired shooting
depending on shooting conditions The
SCENE SELECTION fimction provides
you with near-optinlnm adjnstments to
suit your shooting situation.

second.
• You canIlot select a shutter speed slower
than 1" when recording images
