TO START ENGINE
Be sureno one otherthan theoperatoris standingnearthe yard
vaccumwhilestartingengineor operatingvacuum.Neverrun engine
indoorsor in enclosed,poorlyventilatedareas. Engineexhaust
containscarbonmonoxide,an odorlessand deadlygas. Keep hands,
feet, hairand looseclothingawayfrom any movingpartson engine
and yardvacuum.
1.
The bag/chuteswitch buttonmustbe fully depressedbythe tip
of front tab on bag handleor blowerchute for engineto start. See
Figure11.
2.
Makesurebag/chuteswitchwire is connectedto engineand
groundedto mountingbracket.See Figure11.
3.
Movethrottlecontrolto the FAST(Rabbit)4_
position.See
Figure12.
4.
Movethechokecontrol to the CHOKE_,1 position(A warm
engine maynot requirechoking.)See Figure12.
5.
Standingbehindthe unit, graspstarterhandleand pull ropeout
until youfeel a drag.
6.
Pullthe rope with a rapid,continuous, f ull arm stroke.Keepa firm
grip on the starterhandle.Letthe roperewindslowly.
7.
Repeat,if necessary,untilengine starts.As the enginewarmsup,
move thechokecontrol to the RUNI _' I position.
8.
ALWAYS keepthe throttlecontrolin the FAST(rabbit)
positionwhenoperatingthe YardVacuum.
TO STOP ENGINE
1.
Movethrottlecontrolleverto STOP
or OFF position.
TO EMPTY
BAG
1.
Unhookbag strapsfromthe lowerhandle.
2.
Unsnapbag clip from thetop of lowerhandle.See Figure13.
3.
Graspbag handlewith one hand and pull lock rod on mounting
bracketwith otherhandtowardengineto release.
4.
Lift bag off back of unit.
5.
Twistthe two buttonson the back of the bagto unlockand empty
contents.See Figure14.Holdbag handleand bag clip while
emptyingthe contents.
6.
Compressbagopeningand fold innerflap overopening.
7.
Foldouter flapoverinner flapand insertbuttonson the bag
throughmetaloutlets.See Figure14.
8.
Twistthe buttonsto lock bag.Placebag backonto unitas
instructedin the ASSEMBLY section.
