Refer to page 4-14 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the thermal cutoff (TCO) and inlet
thermistor/high-limit thermostat.
1.
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2.
Disconnect the wires from the compo-
nent you are testing.
3.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.

Thermal Cutoff and High-Limit Thermostat:
Touch the ohmmeter test lead to the com-
ponent terminals. The meter should indi-
cate continuity (0 Ω).
5.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 100K scale.
6.
Inlet Thermistor: Use the following chart
to check the thermistor:
