  • Page 4 Preparation ■ Che c k th e In cl ud ed I tem s Before turning on the machine, remove all the orange tapes and the protective sheets. □ Choosing a Location The Print Head is placed inside of the Paper Output Tray (A). Open the Paper Output Tray with your hands, and take out the Print Head.
  • Page 5 Connect the Telephone Line Only when connecting a telephone: To use the machine as a fax, a telephone line needs to be connected. This section describes the basic method of telephone line connection. For other connection methods, refer to the on-screen manual: Basic Guide.

    Confirming Your Connection Type Before setting up the machine, select the most suitable connection method. You can use the machine over a USB, wireless LAN or wired LAN connection.
