Using the Remote Control
The following table describes how to use the remote control to navigate,
depending on what task the Digital Entertainer HD is performing. For a
complete list of all remote control buttons, see "The NETGEAR Remote
Control" in Chapter 1.

Here are some tips to help you quickly locate media files.

From the Main Menu
Go back to the
previous screen.
• Move selector up or
down.
• Left arrow goes
back one screen.
Select highlighted
item.
Hide menus if video or
photos playing.
Move selector one
screen up or down.
If you set up hot keys
you can use them to
play media. See
"Supervisor Function
Menu" in Chapter 6.
You can combine categories to narrow your search. For example, you
can browse by genre and then by rating to get to R-rated action
movies.
When Browsing
Music, Videos, or
Photos
Go back to the
previous screen.
• Move selector up or
down.
• Left arrow goes
back one screen.
Select highlighted
item.
Go to Home / Main
menu.
Move selector one
screen up or down.
Find entries that
contain the letters or
numbers entered.
In an Edit Box
• Go to previous or
next field.
• Left arrow erases 1
character.
• Right arrow goes to
the next field or
button on a screen.
Edit selected item.
Cancel edit and jump
to main menu.
Enter characters into
the edit box.
