Front Panel Assembly Removal

Remove the front panel assembly from the system unit as follows.
1. Remove the system unit cover and 3 1/2-inch drive bracket as previously
described.
Unplug the following cables from their connectors (see Figure 5-8).

Power lamp

Hard disk drive busy lamp

Suspend button

Reset button
Remove the five front panel screws (see Figure 5-8).

4. Feed the two lamp and reset cables through the hole in the front of system unit
chassis when removing the front panel assembly.
5. Remove the front panel by releasing the four tabs from the back of the front panel.
Separate the lamps and reset button from the front panel assembly by pulling them

out from their socket in the panel assembly.
