If the picture is broken up
Tracking and skew control
Tracking control
Normally, set to the detent position. When there is skew at the top of the picture
being reproduced, adjust the SKEW contro! located on the contro! panel.
Preventing videohead clogging and possible tape damage
The BVU-900P can stay in the still or stop mode for a maximum of eight minutes. *
After eight minutes, the mode will change as follows:
In the stop mode
The STANDBY button goes out, the head drum stops rotating, and tension on the
tape is released. To start operating the unit, press any button except for the STOP
button.
Press the STANDBY button to put the unit in the stop mode once more.
In the still mode
Tape starts running in the forward direction at 1/30 normal speed.
* This time period can be changed from the dial menu.
